Bringing Hope to the World

We're Here to Help You!
Helping the Homeless However We Can!
We often help the "Run-aways," and we sometimes help the "Stow-aways," but we always help the "Throw-aways." Click here to see more. For our homeless guests, many of whom live in the woods, we give free provisions such as backpacks, sleeping bags, tents, grab and go food, winter wear like hats, gloves, socks, and hand warmers.

Daily Meals
While we feed many hungry adults, one of our main causes here at Shepherd's Office is feeding children, an issue that touches many lives, particularly those in the greater Georgetown area. We spend a significant portion of our resources on tackling this problem. See how you can help by reading more or contacting one of our representatives.
Serving a full protein-based meal to hungry adults and children, we serve dinner Monday to Friday from 4-6pm. Our meal options typically include a protein, vegetable, and starch plus a snack bag, all of which helps keep people full all day.

Helping the Homeless
One of the main reasons Shepherd's Office was founded in 2019 was to compensate for the greater Georgetown area’s struggles with Housing the Homeless. We’ve dedicated a lot of man-hours and invested countless resources to this charitable cause, and hope you’ll help us continue this work. One of our goals is to ensure that the most vulnerable and at-risk groups in the greater Georgetown area are safe and have their basic needs taken care of. With your generous donations and volunteering efforts, you have the capacity to help us in our endeavour of Fighting Poverty. Some individuals help by providing nonperishable, high protein snacks. Others supply an assortment of canned, packaged, refrigerated, or frozen products. A fair number of volunteers prepare entrees on a regular basis or donate clothing, camping supplies, and funds. See how you can help by contacting us below.

Bible Study
The Shepherd’s Office serves as a lighthouse in lower Delaware for people who have lost their way in the dark storms of life. Every weekday night after dinner (6-7pm), the Shepherd’s Office offers a Bible Study where all (over 18 years old only, please) are welcome. We also have a Sunday church service at 12 noon with a meal that follows.
“[Director] Jim Martin is working hard to make a difference in individual lives. He bridges the gap between the people who want to help, and the people who need help. He gets right in that space and makes connections.” Melody Westphal, Volunteer
